Lovely sheepskin Paul...ahh...there's a strange way to start off a conversation but I bet 500 years ago it wouldn't have been! Great work on the grain effects.

Nice progress on the 'rug' for lazy-arse driver! And I see there's a slight theme to this latest update Paul, subconscious at work?

Bruce many thanks mate Many thanks Deano, glad you dropped by Cheers Dicky, know what you mean Many thanks Boots Im still working on the back end of the horse, for some reason me brush wont do what me brain tells it , must be painters block I was also thinking about putting a drape on the back of the horse. just something like a blanket with a motif on it. I had an email back from my new friend at the museum about it, he says there is no evidence that the horses were adorned in any way, and again none to say that they were not, so let me know what you think, i have a picture in me head of possibly a red blanket drape just behind the strappage with perhaps a celtic motif on it. Dicky close mate, it was LUV and HAT, come on gotta get the spelling rite
Good job Robbo, fraid I cant help with the airbrush as I don't have one, something I seriously need to consider, but I would imagine any paint as long as its thin enough will be OK

Never seen Dicky move so quick...you might be on to something Paul! Nice progress with the rug and such. I agree with Dicky, the blanket wouldn't really be necessary...the horses are going to be shown hitched up to the chariot, right? Only time you typically put a blanket on a horse is when they aren't going to be actively engaged in anything for a long period of time yet still exposed to the elements and even then I'd think that's more of a modern practice vs. period-specific. Either way, looking forward to more on this one!

I can't help it, every time I hear someone say 'decorating', I can't help but wonder 'for what'? Just tell her that any colors will work so long as they are plaid/tartan.

Thanks for your concerns gentlemen, luckily for me it was just what she calls a "feature wall", so 10 mins with a 15" paint brush and hey presto a red wall ,..................and i have to say it looks pretty...........RED !!!!!!! After that i managed to get into the cave to some serious work I thought id make a push and finish the horse, seeing as i still have another to do Must have found my horses a$$ brush as the paint did what i wanted this time, could have been the paint, perhaps it wasnt horses a$$ paint its no good ill have to label them Paul

Glad to hear you escaped with only a single red wall Paul, it could've been much worse...speaking of which, you now have Dicky admiring your a$$... And yes, you should definitely label all your paint and brushes to keep them straight from now on!
