Bet it felt great when you finished it. Stunning build to be proud of! My only concern... you might add a female figure in bikini standing next to it holding a big trophy and a bottle of milk?

Very nice. One thing that I believe that you got totally right is the surface of the tires: race stickies pick up gravel, dirt, dust, bubble gum, whatever when the car comes off the track and you nailed it. I can recall pulling a quarter out of one of my own after the car came off track, and it didn't just pop right off...

thanks a lot for the great comments fellas, glad to read that! Eth: well mate, you got a point, I don't think the real tyres had that seam, but I tried sanding a lot and it didn't dissappear completely...just didn't want to take the risk to sand the whole tyre down Andy, bikini girl ey? mmm...is there a company which produces them in 1:20 rbear, thanks bro...I cursed a lot at the fact that the Tamiya rubber tyres pick up dust very easily...but afterwards I was quite happy with how it turned out...glad you noticed that Boo, yeah, I ain't a fast guy ey Won't be my last F1 car, I want to do at least one which was driven by my other favourite: Damon Hill. And I went to the World Series by Renault at Spa Franchorchamps this weekend and was very glad to hear and see a Red Bull F1 passing by...it came even close afterwards: Also had the luck to be up close to a Formula Renault 2.0 crash at Eau Rouge... Now I need to practice my panning technique and invest in a decent telelens... don't think I'll be ever doing bikes since I'm not really interested in two wheelers...my heart lies with the four wheeled monsteres Cheers

Elco, many thanks dude, glad you like it ^^ Nice one Wout's, good to hear you'll be doing more of the F1 cars. I'd like to do Damon Hill's Arrows car from the Hungary race where he almost won against all the odds, that was amazing but also sickening to see him limping over the line and overtaken on the last lap-ish. That was his race and will remain in my memory for life, and that's not an easy task. You're so lucky to go to Spa Francorchamps, that's my favourite circuit by a long shot and Eau Rouge is the most awesome piece of track in the history of racing, that separates the men from the boys Nice pics buddy, I'm really envious. yeah that was a great race for him indeed. Luckily his day came later at Spa winning the first GP for Jordan...what an amazing start that was! Of course that race didn't have the same greatness as he showed at the Hungaroring in 97 I'm lucky to have Spa relatively close...but then again, you guys have the amazing Silverstone nearby and the Tank Museum. Eth: yeah, I know, but if I'm not mistaken the kit originates from 1990, so for being that old ( ) it's more than ok And you drove at Spa? You lucky dude!!!! What kind of car? Cheers

I can only imagine that it was an impressive experience indeed, not too many folks can tell that story!
btw, one of the things which impressed me most about the F1 car where the brakes...I knew they were impressive but to see it happen. At a certain moment Buemi turned at Eau Rouge and headed back at full speed to the La Source hairpin...he only braked the last 20-10 metres...crazy stuff!
Cheers

Outstanding work on the Panzer Wouts! Love the subtlety of the rust, makes it look well used but still functional. Great job buddy! Cheers, Sam

I wish! Planning to do either DAK or North Africa GB in 2014... already have that little Panzer II in mind especially that I haven't built that variant yet.
