On janurary 8th I started this build : It's a reissue of the old kit, the date on the plastic is still there : Biggest problem is the canopy. I wil try to find a way to make it look a little better : Here we go. The exhausts from the kit will be replaced by the ones from the old Hasegawa 1/32 Spit : I want to display the canopy in the open position, the first cut has been made : The cockpit will receive a lot of attention, I'm using Hasegawa parts as templates : It will take a lot of work to fit the 1/32 cockpit in the fuselage, I started by adding the ribs and bulkheads : This bulkhead will get some more details : In order to fit the new instrument panel, I've modified the panel from the kit : Out of the box, the cockpit has no detail : The hatch has been cut out, the sidewall is a dryfit : Just a bit more sanding an the exhausts of the left side are ready. Quite a difference with the original : It took a lot of dryfitting to find the right spot for the cockpit parts. The sidewalls will get some extra details : The floor will become a lot smaller to make it nearly invisible : Added some more ribbing : The radiators have been "boxed-in" : Sincerely Pascal

This plane looks fun Pascal ! Do they have a HP Halifax bomber in their range ? That would be great too, building such a massive egg bomber !

Long time no see. Found this kit stashed away in a cupboard. This is were I left off about a year ago : Painted and washed the interior, the fuselage looked like this : But today I decided to have a go with my Dremel and did some cutting. Now the fuselage looks like this : Took the tail down about 6 mm and removed the engine cowling. It looks better now, but it will take some more work to fit everything together, especially the large gaps that I created. Ah well, if it were easy it wouldn't be modelling Sincerely Pascal

Nice to see this one pop back up again Pascal, the surgical alterations seem to have gone very smoothly!

How cool! Always thought those kits were cool and funny. Please count me in... I got me a seat at fourth row but I can manage!
