Great finish, beautiful grey weathering. One minor thing perhaps, I see that you chipped the rim around the bottom of the turret basket the same way than the rest but this rim is a wooden antenna deflector or how you call it, so maybe you can show some wood? I paint the red reflector in bright red followed by a wash of black or dark brown so that the red just shows a bit in the middle when dry a little dust on the inside of the rim on the bottom mostly

Gary - exceptional! This has to be among one of the best plain old Dark Grey painted builds that I've seen - a stunner all round. Remember my Pz.IV Ausf.G that was going to w/washed and ended up being binned? I've got my hands on that kit again and will NOT be attempting a w/wash on it this time. This time it will be painted Grey - if it turns out half as nice as this I'll be mega happy. Reading this blog has really got me into having another shot at that kit - I loved building it. I'm sure these are pretty much the same kit? I'm putting my Pz.II D build on hold to build that Dragon SiG III so expect more questions about the CM kit. It's going to be the Stalingrad grey option. Excellent work my friend! Excellent! Ben

Dave - Much thanks to ya fella! CeeBee - Thanks my friend! Sounds like ya may have sumpin up the ole sleeve. Im on pins-n-needles now! Ben - I sure appreciate the kind comments bro, thanks! Like is said before, this Pz.IV kit was a joy to build....one of the best, if not the best Dragon kits ive built. Id love to see ya pick your Pz.IV back up and get to it, but i also want to see ya do the sIG 33 III. Im wanting to get that kit next year some time. Ben, you get ready to ask about the CM set....swing away buddy, ill get back to ya as soon as i can. Thanks again mate! Cheers, Gary

Thankyou for sharing it with us! We are not worthy Seriously, great job and when I do my Pz.IV G again I'll be, erm, 'taking inspirtation' from this build. NOT copying it LOL! I've decided to put my wip Bronco Pz.II D on hold seeing as I've screwed up the hull. A buddy at my club will be able to source me a new kit at cost price (it's only a £20 kit anyway). I've got the turret done with the RB barrels and the wheels cleaned up and the Friuls ready for assembly. I'll get a new kit, sort the wheels being sure to assemble the suspension proerly this time and re-do it later this year, probably after the SiG. I could bodge it all but seeing as I've spent money on Friuls I think it's only right I build the kit properly. Even bodged the wheels would look 'wonky'! I'm going to start the SiG tomorrow. There are three colour options - Panzer Grey, Stalingrad or two tri-tonal choices 1943 Russia. These things look best in grey imo. When I get to the paint stage I'll pm you dude What build have you got planned now? Take care my friend, Ben

Gary, I see I'm late to this one as well.....sorry I didn't follow along too much but I love the model, nice F2 very distinctive muzzle on these. Nice weather effects and rain streaks on the hull etc. Paul

We'll be there permanently by the 17th and my bed and the modeling stuff will be first on the menu to get setup! However, i fear that i get my bench sorted and start my T-90, the rest of my stuff will still be in boxes for a month! Maybe i outta finish the whole unpacking thing before is start the kit. Aw, you know that won't happen. You'll have to take breaks from emptying boxes every now and then.

Hey Gary brother ! L@@king so awesome again ! Just remind you Panzer IV's rear light tail - tamiya red clear painting on it looking red clear glossy will be dark by painting over on light tail lens - panzer grey painted OR Opition - example 1st silver or chrome or whatever you like any colour to dark, 2nd tamiya red clear glossy painting on would be great result so you trying paint on old plastic for test sample before painting on pzr IV's light tail. Up to you. Cheers.
