...but no where else for it Because I haven't been getting any meaningful bench time of late, I made the decision to pick away at some of the smaller things in my stash. I reckoned that something that shows some progress after even 15 minutes of activity would help keep the mojo alive. So to start with I chose Tamiya's 1970's vintage GAZ67 "Jeep". Nice straightforward build that didn't present any issues that were not solvable with a sanding stick and some plastic putty. (Sorry, for the lack of in-progress shots). Build was complete aftera little less than 2 hours total build time- still took best part of 2 weeks Painted in a combination of Vallejo Russian green and olive drab primers with the seats etc picked out with a mixture of various green/ochre shades. A light dry brushing with Ab502 olive green and then a combination of Vallejo , Mig & Humbrol pigments. It is not quite finished -still needs steering wheel to be finished and some general clutter and "dressing" - flags, weapons and genericbooty yet to be added (to hide the very poor tilt supports at the rear). Puppy from Tamiya livestock set- just for a bit of fun- also needs to be finished. Trying it out on a previously made base- just to see what it looks like really Angle of shot is pretty crap, but once I get things more finished I'll try to get some more decent ones. as always ACVGW P

Nice work even the dog which I thought I recently saw an article where they used them to deliver mines to German AFV's. The DIO landscaping looks good also.

Finished! I'm happy with how it turned out -even if I went a bit awry with the chipping The Flag draped over the rear end is to help hide the God-awful join at the corner and also provide an additional bit of colour. once on the base I then added a light pass with a concontion of varoius VA browns- can't remember what exactly - to bring things together. Mojo maintiained- now on to finish off the airgeep- Mrs away tonight with anklebiters so I'll proably stay up till the wee hours with that and maybe get sometihng more done with the long suffering Leo TTFN p bugger don't know whats happening here- I'll load 'the pics up again from home later- sorry.
