Rather Pleased With Myself!

As the title says I am very pleased with myself at the moment, the reason? well I have not had a cigarette now for two months! I decided in May that enough was enough and went down the electric cigarette route. I have been a very heavy smoker for years rolling my own and smoking at least 40 a day. I have tried patches, medication and cold turkey over the years and nothing had worked so thought I'd try e cigs as I liked the act of smoking but not the health issues or smell. For those who don't know e cigs give you the nicotine but nothing else and you inhale and blow out a vapour which doesn't really smell. I can smoke in pubs, at home and work no problem because it's not smoking it's vaping! Mrs Sniper is cuffed too as she was nagging me to stop for ages!

I feel much better without fags and actually hate the smell of real cigs now! Plus I can vape great flavours like strawberry and menthol! If you smoke I would whole heartedly recommend electric cigs if you want to quit. I'm certainly reaping the benefits as I have more money in my pocket for another certain addiction! plastic!!

Pete, way to go, and every right to be pleased with yerself. I have an e cig too but never really quit the real cigs. Hoping to get off the real ones and stick with the e cig/vaping.

Two months, off to a very good start mate.

Well done mate.It is not an easy thing to do to actually stop.Two months and your well on the way to kicking it for good. I gave up in 2006 and got to the stage i would have a smoke once or twice a year at a xmas party or Euro militaire piss up on the Saturday night.Well i wont even do that now.I too hate the smell now. I kicked it before the E cig and i used the inhaler which was similar.Keep it up.

Cheers guys, Rob go for it mate, I started with skycig which look like real fags but I was charging em up all the time plus the carts where expensive, changed to a jacvapour vgo2 and have not looked back. One battery lasts a whole day and the flavours you can get are amazing. My favs are menthol sensation and a strawberry one. Don't really vape tobacco flavours much now.

Boo I am wondering now why I smoked for so long and really don't like the smell of a ciggie now.

Pete...good on yer mate!! I gave up about 3 weeks after Dicky,but I went through the doctor,and got prescription Champix...£7.85 per fortnight,as opposed to £7.85 a day,seemed like a good trade off,and I can actually BREATH now!!!(I'm just a FATTER little fat Beggar,now!! )

18 months for me now. Used the ecigarette and had no issues. I smoked since I was big enough to steal them from my dad's dresser drawer.

Good for you Pete! I'll have to try those Elictric smokes. I quit for about three months at the beginning of the year, but I got to the point that I didn't want to do anything, and the wife said I was getting real grumpy.Have some will power brother!!

OMG! that would surly taste disgusting
