Well worth the time and effort to achieve that result Carl! Really dresses up the driver's area nicely. That cat video is hilarious...I've been smiling for two days now every time I see it pop up in one of your posts.

Mr. Boggs , I guess "tranny" means a couple of different things these days ? Glad to have you along bro . Bill ,If that video puts a smile on a couple of people then that's great my friend ! Nate , big thanks for the comment ! Good to have you following along my friend ! Sorry guys no pics .I gave up on working outside when the thermo reached 100 . I spent a fair amount of time at the bench running a few wires and bending some more p.e. but I haven't c.a.'d it in place yet . Later guys .

Hey , what the hell , here's a Sturm I did before there was a 1/35th kit on the market . As you can see on the shelf in the background there's a Tamiya Sturm up there . Of course Tamiya released there Sturm right when I was building this Sturm so I had to buy it ! In fact that's the kit I'm building now . I hacked up a Tamiya Tiger 1 to fit a resin casement from Verlinden . That resin casement was solid and must of weighed a good pound or two . I used Pactra white putty from the tube for the zimm which I,ve been told is overly thick . The tracks are the Tamiya indy links . I painted it with enamel and did a limited wash and weathering on it as I didn't know about using Future to seal the enamel . I think this picture was taken about 15 years ago at least , maybe longer .I'm not sure where this model is right now , I don't see it on my shelf any longer . Anyway I thought it'd be fun to look back at an old build .

I had to look twice before I noticed this interior isn't the real 1/1 scale reference stuff...and that means...awesome updates for the near future Carl ! This interior ROCKS !

Hey Guy thanks ! Andy , your a young man aint you . So here some stuff that's been accomplished . No fast pace here . The rifling for the big bore rocket tube came as a flat sheet of metal with the rifling etched into it . no surprise there right . I put off rolling this thing and finally got brave and did it . I used a piece of foam that was glued to cardboard (from an old piece of electronics packing ) as the surface so that there would be some give to create the curve and rolled it with a 1/4 " brass tubing . I left the gap between the ends of the rolled metal so there would be a tight fit inside the plastic barrel . And here's some of the p.e. on the breach .I attached a couple of sections of plastic tubing to conceal those big Tamiya screws . So much more to be done yet .

Great work on the barrel... it pays to be a retired telephone repairman since you are pretty good with wirings and PE stuff now.

Andy thanks young man ! ................ I guess that past experience helps . Part of what I remember about connecting those little wires together is doing it while being strapped to a tele pole with the snow blowing in my face and those numb freezing hands ,I never could splice wires with gloves on .............course that's the one extreme .............the other was working in the mud and cr......well lets just say crud, digging out a buried cable that someone ripped out while repairing there sewer line . Glad to be retired my friend !

This part of the interior is finished as far as p.e. attachments so I sprayed it with some dark gray . There are a couple of radio's and a engine gauges panel to attach .later after final paint . I'm going to use MM panzer interior buff and I may shade it darker and lighter for variation in tones but that still to come . Edit . AFV makes a set of 38cm assault rockets( AFV 35139) that I'll be ordering till fill out the storage racks .

Good to hear you're going to populate the racks with rounds, they just scream for some big ol' rockets to fill 'em up! I bet the crews had to pass a claustrophobia test to work in those confines.

Leon , Bill , Andy thanks for being here . It must of been claustrophobic indeed with the racks filled up with 800 + or - lb. rounds .
