Whoah, looking good!
How many rounds can fit in the racks? 8? Plus "one in the chamber"?

Mac , T , Dupes thanks again guys for hangin in on this one . Hope you guys have patience cause this may be going on for a while . Hey Dupes I see room for 12 rounds in the racks and one in the barrel . Wiki says 14 total . Maybe they could hang one from the loading hoist inside the casement but I cant imagine driving around with one of them 800 lb rounds bouncing about !

Good job with a lot of details, the interior is going to be full when finished. May I ask why you made the metal girders under the loading hatch too?

Thanks Eddy for taking the time . The beams are the "track" that the interior hoist rolls across on for lifting the rounds onto and off of the racks . Off the racks for positioning them onto the loading ramp behind the breach . HTH

DickyF is right about obstructing the hatch. But I was sure I had a photo of the inside roof and I found it, now I think I understand how it worked. Right under the hatch the 2 pieces could be removed when the shells were loaded, you can see on your photo on the underside an attachment with a screw, on the photo here you can see the center parts removed and the attachments in place. So I think if you are going to close the large hatch, the 2 girders could stay but wen you open the hatches I suggest to eliminate those parts but make the attachments visible in both cases; I hope this helps Eddy

The sections of rail that block the hatch opening can be folded back out of the way. Once the shell clears the opening they can be returned so shells can be loaded on the other side of the casement.
No Problem Tony lee

Thanks for the comments . A fine discussion guys . I saw that on the etched parts where the "rails " are etched so as to facilitate removing the section across the loading hatch opening . I thought it was an interesting detail seeing those "rails" across the opening . Eddy , I get your point about removing that section . I'm thinking over the idea of removing that section . That would open up the view of the interior also . I looked at the model and I have those "rail" sections in backwards . I'm redoing that area now . Update pics later .To bad some p.e. wasn't provided for building the hoist itself . I suppose I could scratch one if I had enough info .....and Nemo-bility .

Nems thanks . Of course when I got my fingers in there I managed to destroy a couple of formerly attached details and more time was spent on redoing them .........oh well , I'll never learn .

Looking good there Carl! You've got to knock at least one detail off when handling stuff, it's a foundation rule of model building you know.

Some MM Panzer interior buff lightly over sprayed with MM Classic white (filter?) and sealed with a good coat of Future so I can do an oil wash next .

Hello Carl, That is some very nice interior work you have there. Given the constraints on interior space with the racks to be loaded....I'm not sure I would call them ready racks. More like I'll be with you in a minute racks. Very solid work you have here. Dave

Great details there Carl...a shame you don't have an engine with all that detail, or do you?
This is the Tamiya kit right?
Verlinden made a nice Tiger 1 engine compartment years ago...(hint hint)
