What a filled interior you've got there! But why is the stock?? ( the part that goes against the shoulder )wood-coloured? I've got two AAVP's here, but im thinking of closing them up

This week is an good week!! The build is finished soon!! Only the crane make finish and the trace. This crane is complete movable!! Pic´s i send later because i surf with the stick again and the time to upload is very long!!

The tamjya version without interieur was my first idea but than i found the AAV series from hobby boss. The interieur was my 2nd, the first was the M1129 MC B from Trumpeter!! After this one i want build only with Interieur!! I feel more life and reality in my models with Interieur!! Because of this are my next projects the AAVP 7A1 from hobby boss too and the M1151 from academy. All with!!

But befor i start my next project i make two graet paintjobs. One is the Canadian LAV III and the AAVR of corse!! And the Tracks of corse!!

6 hours!!!

This evening i strat masking and the first run pianting!! The tracks i paint by hand and the chain pads i make a litte destroyed look!! Because of this i paint the tracks by hand!!

I make the hatchet from inside nato green too. Outside i paint him only green, maybe, i dont now!! Today i write a message to the USMC and ask for pic´s from the AAVR. I become one from the AAVP!! The picture from wikipedia!! WOW!! i had thinking they have pic´s from AAVR in action, at the camps or everyone and an other!!?? But, no!! Nothing!! Write i to Bundeswehr for pic´s i become so much!! But from USMC,..............!!??

Good morning, or not !!

Yesterday i make the first try from the camo. I mask with revell color stop. It looks good!! Today i paint it black, it looks good again!! Than i remove the masking liquid and i can cry!!! So much more, loud and louder!! The complete look ist bulls++t!!!! I can the green complete repair, but i make this after the brown!!All seams and edges are broken and not clean!! Looks not so good, not fine it´s s***!! But look self!! Next time i make the camo without masking again!!








With masking liqud lokk it good, but without!!!! When i knowing befor i do it without this or an other product!!??














Have one a suggestion to make it better?? I think i can only repair the greein with a 2nd run!!??

What paint do you use? And what's your spraygun?

I always spray freehand if you know what i mean. It takes some concentration and good care of your paint and dilution, and sometimes you need to go an extra colouring round but if you can learn to master that you can spray a lot. Only on 'hard lines' i do masking.


For instance, no masking used here (well offcourse the canopy got masked )

It was my first try to paint with masking liquid!! I´ve see so in an other building report!! The Spray gun is from revell master class but i think there is not o.k.!!?? It comes ever pressure out, with colour, only when i take the gun i cat paint surfaces!! Details are very difficult!! the gun sprays more dust from the colour everytime!!!

Ouch- nasty but not unrecoverable!
If going back over the green with an AB doesn't sort it try redefining the edges between colours with a paint brush.

Looks like the masking agent didn't give as fine a definition as you needed. If you're careful with your AB you can run along the edges and smooth them out so they don't look so ragged. Hope you can salvage it without having to strip and start over!

Hello again

I try to make the paint better and i think it´s o.k.!!?? The rest i take with the weathering!! I´ve some bags and other stowage for this and with this looks my AAVR realy good again!!?? When the colours are realy dry i make the black new!! But without masking liquid!!!!

This was the first and the last time with masking liquid for camo!! Next time i make this free again, look better and with my other spray gun i can paint more fine. This gun is only for surfaces!!

Next week i weather the AAVR and paint the tracks. After this i start my new projct. But i create a new threat for this one!!

That´s a present for christmas to my wife!! They wish a long time a VW Käfer!!
