Finished up Panda's big 1/16 Pz.38(t) tonight after a relatively quick 48-day build. The WIP thread can be found HEREOverall thoughts - solid kit, and a great introduction to 1/16 scale. It's not a kit for beginners, but shouldn't pose a challenge to anyone with a few armor kits under their belt. The workable tracks and cupola design are particular standouts. Drawbacks were few. My pre-release kit was short by six track links, meaning I had to omit the spare run on the front of the tank. The decals were thick. As was the PE. Bending the fender supports required aggressive annealing and foregoing my PE bender for pliers. Other than that, what this tank screams for is aftermarket. Stowage, photo etch for certain components, and interior sets. As well as some alternate markings. The kit's options are a sea of Panzer Gray, and I would have appreciated some more variety. Everything was done OOB. Paints and weathering materials used: - Gunze Mr Finishing Surfacer 1500 (Black) primer - Lifecolor RAL 7021 Panzer Gray - Tamiya XF-2 White - Tamiya and Vallejo paints for detail painting - Alclad Steel - Vallejo Track Primer - True Earth Whitewash - True Earth "Burnt Pack" for the muffler - AK Interactive Fuel Stains - Winton & Newton oils - Raw Umber, Burnt Sienna, Payne's Gray, Transparent White (for streaking and weathering) - MIG Pigments (Russian Earth, Light Rust)

I like it ! Great finish indeed. Maybe I'd splatter on extra mud splashes to add even more realism ?
