girl friend and I were headed down to Columbus for a couple of Joe Willey's burgers yesterday afternoon. On the way down there I had her drive up a road to look over a driving range they have setup down there. Across the road is a tank park with a lot of older stuff and some fairly modern stuff. Said to myself that there's nothing new over there, then I catch sight of a big tan hulk over on one corner. Yep that's what it was! A mint condition M1a1 Abrams tank! Pictures are coming as soon as it quits raining! And the golf course looked a little ragged, but still better than I play. Still can't believe they don't have an M48 tank there!

Columbus? An hour south of Indy? If so, I better check it out one day... looking forward to the pictures! get off on the 252 exit on I-65, and head west. It's about three miles past US31 right on Hospital Road. (Atteberry) I knew there was one down there, but assumed it was Allison property as they have a test track down there. gary |
