Hi all This was the third build on my bench that ive just finished. I got this at Euro last year from Mitches Miniatures. If youve read any of Bernard Cornwalls books this is supposed to be Uhtred of Bebbenburg. Its 120mm and i got it because i liked the subject and the pose, however once i got into it i nearly gave it up. There are a couple of things that, although minor, spoilt it a bit for me. The left arm is far to long with the knuckles coming down to the knee and the shield is huge, with this thing made from oak and iron you would have to be superman to lift it. That being said it was a great chance to practice my Tartan paint and it does finish quite a nice piece. If you are tempted to try it the arm can always be shortened. This is going to the War and peace show at the weekend so if anyone is going youll be able to see it on Mitches Miniatures stand all for now Paul

Where dya get tartan paint from? This one looks very good and if it doesn't accurately represent the subject it may be the guy from Mr Cornwells re-write set in the bakery..."Retread of Battenburg" OK you get worse ............................but still i havnt read that one ....get tartan paint from the tartan paint shop in Gretna Paul
