Some time ago I started with this kitbash between a AMT Chevy 3100 and Aoshima Toyota High Luxe High rider The 3100 Just for sure if you lost youre instructions And the fun started. setting out the lines where I must remove the fenders. I removed the fenders with a resin saw for some sharp cuts Then I added some 0,3mm strips. And putting back the fenders, funny people model builders first removing things and then put it back After some Milliput and some primer Next step is the interiour. I used the seats and console from the Toyota and with some small adjudsments they fit very wel After some paint. The chassis. Verry nice detail on this part and not to much work to made it fit on the AMT body. After removing a lot chrome the chassis was a simple build. The chassis after some modifications. Puttin some parts from AMT to it and made 3mm longer. And the result sofar after all that hard work

Yesterday I painted the fenders black, and still looking as sh*t Today the moment we all looking for the clear coat, this is the result after two layers clear from Motip. For now I let its dry for two days and contineu with a other two layers clear. Wnem those are dry a litle sanding and again two layers clear and then its ready for polishing. T I always use this methode for difficult colors such as Red/Yellow/Orange the matt versions off this colors have a better coverage.

I have done some work on the chassis, started with some pigments for a dusty look.

Little further with the PU First I airbrushed a thin layer Tamiya XF 57 BUFF over the model Then a used some AK pigments. Sealed it with pigment fixer from MIG, I was a Little scared that the color was going matt but the fixer did not turning the shine in to a matt finish. And just a dry fit on the chassis Looks nice but its still needed a little touch up with the airbrush and some pigments.

Nice job getting the dusty finish on this one Ron, the last pic shows it right at home! Glad to hear this one gave you some learning opportunities even if you aren't 100% satisfied with it. If it's any consolation, I rarely have a build end up that way myself!
