Thanks Robbo managed to get some more done on this one and reckon I will have paint on it by next week ..........................  I have added the AA shields plus a few other things like track hangers and such like . With the kit having no texture at all I decided to add some of my own using Mr Surfacer 500.   I stole the Ball mount MG from the spares box which to my delight is rapidly growing, with some 1/72 kits being so cheap and having some good qualities then its worth while getting some just for spares   The crew hatches come as a moulded shut piece so thats what I will be working on next , opening the hatches and adding detail to them  Cheers Deano |

Surface looks GREAT!!! Don't we all love Mr Surfacer even its smell? Nice touch with AA shields too...

Deano, likin the casting marks Bub. Let me ask you another question. Have you given any thought as to how you are going to prime, paint and weather it with out losing all the detail?

Thanks Bruce , Richard and Jeff , Richard you are never too late for the party , its just getting started Jeff I gave this some thought before I painted the Elefant and came to the conclusion that I cannot paint this like a 1/35 kit . Lightly does it with the paint from primer to finish , no rattle can primer and no heavy washes once painted . It seems to be working so far and I hope it continues . Use Vallejo primer from the bottle btw Sorry Bill just missed ya there , thanks buddy Cheers Deano |

Cheers guys Im glad you are liking this build Jeff , I think the main thing is to paint these kits the way that works best for you . The Vallejo is quite thick but then I have more control over it with the AB , you are getting great results with your 1/72 builds , so as the saying goes 'if it aint broke dont fix it' Cheers Deano |

Thanks Pete finally got the build finished here and I have to say I really enjoyed it . Set myself some challenges and over all I am happy with the results . It is a little rough around the edges but reckon I will get better with experience .......     Next is the painting which is happening now Cheers Deano |
