Hi guys, well after a 20 odd year break from modeling, i returned to it about 18 months ago and couldn't quite believe how much it has advanced over the years! So as i'm one for a challenge i returned to 1/35 afv's briefly before launching myself last December into Trumpeter's 1/16 king tiger. I have just completed this massive model and enjoyed it immensely. I await their 1/16 T34/85 and look forward to learning as much from you guys as possible, onwards and upwards!

Welcome back and hoping to see some of the big scale builds. You will find all the different genre of models here and a lot of friendly chat with each post so you don't have to feel you are all alone out in Cyber space.

Thanks again chaps for the warm welcome! Haha, yes Scotland the land of "skirted scary men", this is the reason i joined this board, it's got a good bit of banter and a laugh! I'll post some tiger II pics later today in the gallery section and hopefully get some feed back as to where i can improve. I learned so much from this very complex kit and looking forward to the T-34 which i should be starting in a few weeks time.

Gary bbd468 is a cool dude... one of moderators here. He has been very busy dealing with the move but he will be back soon. He just loves to wear both kilt and tutu. I am not sure if its because he is a Scottish so I will let him answer your question. Trust me you will like him too!

Well hello Beast!!! Welcome to MSC fella! DUDE....you might be my long lost brother! Im American, but my family ancestry originates in Scottland from around 1050AD...give er take a few decades and traces up to now with several decades in Ireland before finding our way to America where somehow we crossed with Choctaw Indian and wound up in Texas. I could go into lots of detail as my eldest sister recently completed 9 years of research on our family. Anyhoo......... Man, im lookin forward to see your works and jumpin right into the 1/16th realm....now thats cool! Ill see ya on tha boards Beast. Cheers, Gary Oh, BTW, the Kiltutu thing.....LOOONG story!

Hey man, good to know there's a Texan Scot on the board! 1050AD that is amazing, no wonder it took your sis 9 years to compile all the ancestry! Haven't had the time to trace mine that far back but i know my direct ancestors fought at Bannockburn, Flodden, Culloden and Waterloo to name a few and in more recent times The boer war and both WW1 and 2. I'd love to go a lot further back, who know's what i would find? I've posted some pics of my 1/16 work in the gallery and there's a link to my photobucket with pics from start to finish of the KT. I plan to document my next build on the forum once i get my hands on the T-34! Cheers dude!
