Hi Guys. I rang Gordon today, he said the Guy wore the Luftwaffe life jacket and an English parachute. The life jacket was a kind of washed out sandy yellow colour so as in the pics that you put up Tim.

Can see a few problems when viewing the pictures against what is in hand but think I can correct these. If not then I can start again More as and when. Tim

Good evening one and all, It has been a long time since I did anything on this one and a long time in general on anything. But the little diversion that occurs at this time of year ( tax returns! ) and helps towards the costs have all finally been completed. Will be cracking out the paints etc and moving this on, along with a few other stalled projects Looking forward to much bench time in the coming months, provided shows and other diversions don't get in the way !!!! Very nice painting so far, and the research part is also very helpful. I will be doing an in-box review of this kit very soon so it's good to see it being painted here. I'll be sure to post a link to this blog.

Good evening, Been working away and just can't get this the way I want for CB. We have had a few discussions about the stance and foot angles etc and how it looks wrong and in the end I decided to remove the left boot and see what I could do. Much sanding and repositioning and I came up with what I consider to be a much improved look. At least both feet look to be level and in contact with a flat surface! Thing is what do you think? No doubt you can see that there has been some collateral damage, so next up will be a clean in the Fairy power spray............. and start again The thing that bothers me most though is that I cannot figure out if this is a real likeness of GG. I am on the third repaint of his face and just can't get happy with what I am looking at. At best it reminds me of Tommy Gun, the Brit version of Action Man, or even one of the Thunderbird brothers, not sure which one though. So again, this will head ( ) back to the Fairy power spray and battle will be joined again. Is it me? All comments and assistance welcome. Tim

HI Tim. jackwagon is right the weight is on the right leg so the body should be over that and the right hip should be lowered. Try it youself looking in a mirror Paul

Good evening, Cee BeeWas never my intention to cause such pain, but since you seem to have a strong working relationship with the M O, I am sure things can be staightend out, so to speak......... DickyLooking again I can see what you mean, but as the casting is one solid lump it would require more surgery than even the best bone setter would want to undertake. PaulI try my best not to look in to a mirror for any reason these days for fear of frightening the life out of myself. Only one person would benefit and it sure ain't me. Will leave as is and move onwards and upwards. Tim

Hi Tim, it would actually be a straight forward fix. If you cut both the legs off at the bottom of the jacket, slightly extend the left one and slightly reduce the right one, this would straighten up the body and give the illusion that the right hip has dropped. he would then look like he is slouched on his right leg and look more natural.

Good evening, This has been giving me nightmares, as I think you can tell. So many things seemed to be wrong (including my painting) so in the end a dose of Fairy Power Spray and back to basics. Whilst going through the process of putting him back together a thought came to mind. Would it be possible to depict him leaning against something or other? So little mock up and fiddle around and - Question is....., what do you think? My opinion is that it appears to take the ungainly stance away and may have some merit. So over to you, all observations welcomed & requested. Whilst the debate continues I will get back on the painting soon. Needs a clean and undercoating before then, but looking forward to getting back to this. Tim

Sorry about this... whatever you do you have my support. I like your suggestion of him leaning on something... maybe a wall or a fence?

"Leaning" stance definitely has potential Tim, go for it!
