Well I found this old kit in the basement that I have had for about 20 years but never built it. The box is long gone and the sprues and lose parts in a bag. Soooo, I thought I'd try something with this that is often done with armor. For now here is a pic of the F9F Panther. Attachments:

Had an idea today while sitting in traffic so we'll see how this turns...lol.
the kit has very few parts and should go together really quick. There are raised panel lines which i don't like but won't bother to engrave new ones this time around. Stay tuned for an update soon.

Looking forward to this one, Boss. Seen what wonders you do with armour, so I can't wait to see what you do with a wingy!! Cheers, Sam

Thanks Sam. A bit stuck at the moment. Got thee office painted and started gluing things together, then did a test fit of the canopy, and found out that I am missing the forward section of glass. Soooo this means I can't do what I had planned. Need to come up with a plan B. Here is what she looks like, not much to her.

Easy! Just call Dicky and he will make one from scratch... that's his speciality I recall. Sorry about the missing canopy... hope there is a way to buy an aftermarket set?

Hey Andy, not worried about that part and really not worth spending money on a new one. if this was a new better kit then yes.

Just an idea... if you are planning it wrecked or rusted. You can always make just the frame without glasses because they are long gone?

I agree with Andy, Boss. If you are doing a wreck (and why wouldn't you?? ) the best bet would be to scratch the frame and have it without glass.... Cheers, Sam

Why worry, each of us is wearing an unlicensed nuclear accelerator on his back.

Oh boy! A wrecked Panther! This is going to be good! Could there be a Korean countryside dio in the mix?
