Hi folks, first post around here. Started a dragracer kitbash project 3 weeks ago using a 1:350 boat hull and some other spare kits parts. After a descent gloss black primer I gave it serveral layers of Alclad II polished chrome and putted some decals on. After some detail painting I ended up with this result. More pics of the finished Silberpfeil HERE. Here's a paint wip shot of the driver. I painted the first basic layers with an airbrush using 4 brown shades. Never did this before and although I had to clean my airbrush very well after every colorshade due to paintclots in my airbrush (I used the normal Valleo acrylic paint diluted with distilled water) I will definitely use this technique on fure figure painting. I'm not that happy with the leather look so far but will leave it this way and will bring my "lessons learned" to next projects. Bye, Marcel du Long

Thnx folks. Thnx, boatkits are splendid kits to bash. Not only the hull is a perfect start for racers, sci-fi ships etc... all the other tiny little bits are great for detailing all your plastic fantasies. So this is the first boat a bashed and will not be the last one. Yep, superb resin casted figure.

Awesome project! Using the boat hull this way was a brilliant idea. Also, the paint job on the pilot looks terrific to me!

Hi folks, want to design a label/logo for this one. Did some googling for nice labels/logos and came up with the following selection: Ended up with the following 2 styles: What do you thing guys? "The Butlers list" or "R" style set up? Bye, Marcel.

The 'R' serves almost as an inside-joke for the way you came up with this one, so that's got my vote but either will do the job nicely!
