Hi guys having been into classic motors all my life and armour models mainly the last 8 years you can imagine i would have built up a large collection of car models.Well i went up into the loft today and on one side i have box after box full of car models both built and unbuilt with some very rare specimens up there.Well i was looking through a couple of the boxes and came across a Ford Edsel pacer 1958 model. A friend of mine had one of these a few years back and we had a lot of fun using it at shows. I decided i would start this one after Euro so took it down from the loft.I think i may junk it up a bit.

Yeah Boots they nicknamed it an Oldsmobile sucking an orange or the cruder rmarks on it was that the grill resembled part of a woman's anatomy . It was a massive flop but then Ford had the last laugh with it as it is now very sought after.A friend of mine has a museum full of Classic american cars and one of his collection is a convertible Edsel Citation 1958, Worth loads.

Dicky i think you are thinking of Tucker who made a car in 48 and named it after himself.jackwagon i must have hundreds if not in the thousands of car models up there. They are about four rows deep in boxes with every thing from 76 scale to 43 right up to 1/12. they have been in the loft since we moved to our current house in 2006. I got into armour and never unpacked the motors to this day.
Boots He lives in Dorchester and owns a scrapyard aswell . I painted the route 66 map with all the major stops along the way round the walls to his museum. It took weeks to do and i was paid daily until finished. I included all his collection or cars along the route on the painting. He actually took his 57 Ford retractable over to the states and done the journey in his own motor. He is involved in Brooklyn models aswell and they made 66 models of his retractable and they had the route 66 map as a transfer on the boot lid like he had on his real one. He took all the models over in the boot aswel and they did the route inside the real car. They are worth a fortune now and i was lucky enough to be given two of them as an adition for painting the mural on the museum walls. I have owned quite a few classic American motors myself and also driven some rare beasts from friends cars, including a 68 camaro indy pace car, Chrysler 300f ,Thunderbirds ,Buicks ,Dodges,Packard and oldsmobile. ive been lucky on that score.

Boots they are a company that makes handbuilt quality White metal replica,s in 1/43 scale. They are very nice collectors items with lots of limited runs on certain models and livery.

You know, compared to the crap they make today it doesn't look that bad!
But what did they (the consumers) know anyway.
