One of the chaps at our MAFVA branch meeting last night pointed us in the drection of a` very useful source of copper stips and wire: - garden suppliers (B&Q, Homebase etc) so first thing this morning I shot out and got my self someof this: cost about £3. For your money you get : 10 strips of copper approx 11cm long along by 1cm wide with 10 strands of fine copper wire (about 25cm long) My calipers make it about 0.2mm in thickness which scales up to about 17mm by my reckoning. I've tried the stip out in my etchmate and it works like a beauty P

Great tip there Paul. One thing I don't have are copper or brass strips. I do have plenty of wire tho of various thickness, lifetime supply actually. I am sure others will find this very useful.
