Here I'm doing a build for AMW (Alliance Modelworks) to see how this set actually builds on plastic figure. This is the set I'm using first I did the basic belt with straps, keep in mind I still have to attach two straps I used already 18 etched parts on the figure. I scraped the moulded on belts from the figure and reworked some parts with magic sculp. Still have to work on some areas. Next up was the battlepack (this was the reason I kept of two straps mentioned earlier) before attaching to the basic belt. This contains 12 etched pieces. Pictures aren't the best, I will try to make some new tomorrow in better conditions. to be continued

Me neither Chris, found them in the mail a month ago, I think 12 sheets of those. German WWII, US WWII and US modern - 1/35 and 1/16. My first impression was - w*f - but it actually builds quite easy once you start it. Be sure you keep some pictures of the real stuff at hand.

some progress mounted the "battlepack" with some difficulties, the attachmentpoints don't match. Improvising was the name of the game. By chance the major attachmentpoints are covered by the canvas made from Magic Sculpt. It's setting as we speak and will work on it further in 30 minutes. Also reworked the canteen. All in all the sets builds nicely so far, it's just a shame that in the end all the nice PE will hardly be visible after everything is mounted. If I build another figure, wich I will, it will be without the "battlepack". The piece of equipment he is holding is just a dryfit and not lined up to be continued

Figure finished In conclusion I think these sets for figures from Alliance Modelworks are worth it. Not for building 4-5 figures on a dio but if you are planning a small base or vignet this is the material you need to detail your figures. Keep in mind to keep your referencematerial at hand, you will need them!

Crikey I can see the buckle holes in the leather straps! That's freaky detail, it's amazing how far this hobby has gone. Great stuff Ron!
Cheers JT
