One little contribution I'll make, since I've not seen it on here, is the humble silver pencil, usually purchased at an art store, to run along edges and corners on armor models right before DullCote is applied.

Nice one BT - strange, I spend a lot of time hanging around art stores and never ever think of picking any of these metallic crayons which are available in many shades! Nice reminder Another one to bear in mind is the white crayon - very handy for recreating chalk markings on metal plate and vehciles in general White crayon? Yeah, that would do the trick, wouldn't it? Got some armor coming up that I'll display in a state of repair, so some chalk marks would be appropriate. Thanks!

May I put an Addition here, too?! My favourite "secret weapon" is a 0.05 mm Rotring Ink marker. Yes, thats right - 0.05 mm. Available in artists stores as well, used by architects for technical drawings etc. Not that cheap, but imho VERY useful. And if you treat the tip right, even Long Lasting. You can do loads of very small letterings. Some examples: 1/48 wooden box - lettering 1/48 letters/papers: 28mm statue - lettering below: imageshack.us/photo/my-images/11/zd02.jpg/1/72 wooden boxes - French trench... ...and its even useful for Graffiti stuff: imageshack.us/photo/my-images/41/gadfertig07.jpg/etc. etc.
