I suppose the plus side is that you have the kit parts to use as a master for the replacements but agree with Dicky on being a little surprised at the need for it in the first place. All that aside, you're making good progress here Ron!

Thnx guys for the comments.
Work is almost done on the Remora, only some PE so far I could see at the moment and replacing some rivets and then ..... primer :-)
What the poor casted parts concerns, this is just a matter of using the molds to much, If they made some new rubber mold's for the smaller parts there was no problem I think? But its was not difficult to made the new parts easy shapes :-)

Looking good Ron, it is a great kit. I took delivery of one last week, and am currently cleaning the parts up, and will start building soon. Ill be following your progress to get some tips.

Thnx guys Chris, looking forward to you're build of the Remora. The kit is not hard to build only some cleanup off the parts and some putty and patient. I don't know if you get the same problem with the fit of the wheelhouse, in my case it is just a little bending and the wheelhouse fits perfect in the deck, just put the back end first in position, I hope that this helps. So far I don't have found other problems but I`m not ready yet

Yes Ron, same with the wheelhouse. Was wondering what was going on with it, must just be the mechanics of resin casting. Big question is....what type of load will go on it. Chris.

Nice work on the interior Ron. Enough of it's visible to make it worth the effort IMHO!

The rust tones are spot on, what paint did you use for them?

Thnx guys and its always nice to see some paint on a model Forgot to mentioned it I have replaced 100+ rivets on the hull, some where missing and other have some soft detail, I`m not a rivet counter LOL The rust tones are spot on, what paint did you use for them? I have used Tamiya XF-10 flat brown and then some rust colors from the Lifecolor set rust and dust effects
