I've read somewhere that you can spray old decals with something that helps keep them from falling apart, what might that be?
Will I need to cut them close to the printed parts after spraying?
Thanks for the help Tony lee

As far as I know there should be something from Microscale for this. The same stuff you use to protect self made decals, called "Liquid decal film".
Cheers, Tobi

Have a look at Prof's 1/6 Harley thread, there's a bit on there about rescuing decals

Yep I just put a bottle in my Sprue bros shopping cart CB. I also heard you can thin "Future" but spray a thin coat on so the decal doesn't wind up too thick.
I'll test that idea on something first though.
Any other suggestions out there?
Thanks Tony lee

Hmmm. Just know about rescueing yellowish decals - let them get some sunlight. Means lay them 1-3 days into the sun on a ledge or something - works fine!
Some say that hairspray will work as a sealer.

I don't think hair spray would work because it's water soluble Tig.
