Here's a fast shot in primer. I started slinging paint this morning. Issues arose and I was at the doctor all afternoon. Had a bit of "unplanned" surgery. More updates tomorrow. G

The replacement cape and cowl look much better G! Hope the surgery isn't too serious and you can at least stay at the bench. Take it easy and don't rush the recovery!

Thanks for the well wishes Gents!
While sitting drinking a cup of coffee I suddenly felt a shooting pain in my jaw. MrsG bundled me off to the dentist forthwith,as he was able to see me right away.
3 hours later I returned with one less tooth, one root canal and a temporary bridge. Ouch.....
Seems that time did not help old dental work at all.
Combine that with my recent ankle issues, old wounds reminding me they are still there and well I'm thinking I'm fast becoming a wreck here.
Painting to commence forth with

WOW! The replacement absolutely looks far better than the kit part. BUT did you ask your wife if you could use that foil fan first or you will not have a turkey for Thanksgiving this year? LOL Catching up here... looking good!

Ask the wife? ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, yep I feared the consequences had I not. A lil' G here, a lil' G there, G's running around everywhere! I had the morning to myself and despite pain meds finished a lot of the figure. After primer I base coated the tack in Tamiya NATO Black. I dry brushed that with Vallejo Chocolate Brown. I also preshaded the horse. I masked the previous step and began a series of grays. Progressing to a series of "whites". Here's our boy as he sits today. NATO Black and Neutral Gray. I went light as the subsequent steps will darken him up quite a bit. Pumpkins! Yes they grow in the desert. Tamiya Orange, Red and Yellow. G
