Hey there MSCer's!!!
Just like the title sort of points to, a little "splaining"!
I feel the need to put this up to explain a bit of what is going on here at the T village! Some have noticed that there has not been a whole lot of posting on individual threads here on site. I have chimed in where and when I can and have looked on about 3 to 4 times that amount and due to the , well I will call it a work-load for the moment, I have had little time to comment! My apologies to all as I wish I could hang out and comment on each and every one of the posts.
The biggest time constraint and T-grabber at the moment is the site. As some of you have noticed, MSC has recently picked up numerous support from many truly great companies both large and small...equally they are all special and I am looking forward to this coming year with new prospects here on the site working with these site sponsors and help add to the content here at "home"
Rob will certainly agree that we both owe a bit of gratitude to the amazing staff here on MSC. They have picked the ball up and continued to run with it on behalf of the two of us. Thank you to each one of them! In the end we are hoping this extra work will help make MSC an even better Home for all of us!
This brings me up to the "other" reason to the lack of time at the moment. Besides doing the family thing here at home...running from game to game, work and general home-life duties I have still been attempting this modelling thing. I wanted to quickly share some of the things I am working on as I try to close a few chapters as more get opened.
In the next few days you will see my review of Model Miniature's 1/72 AMX-10 RCR.
With any luck I will actually start building this soon and be able to share the steps.
Some of you know this one that still lingers on the bench...
The base is under construction and slowly moving forward. After I finish a couple of projects some time will free up for more of this!
This is a small review that I did for Armorama recently. I need to finish the construction of this kit so I can add the build to the review. Just a little something that takes up some time every other night or so.
If you are interested in checking out the review: www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=9513 This shouldn't take too much longer but there are over two hundred pieces on this kit and as you can see they are all tiny!!!
Next up is a small vignette I am putting together. Again, coming from a review, the figures, I decided to make a small scene. This is of the "meeting at the Elbe". Where US and Soviet troops meet up at the Elbe River before heading to Berlin!
Next on the block is a little job I wanted to start up for a couple of reasons...one is a small review for our good friend Steve Reid and Celticwerks, who makes this fine Wedgie. I will try and tie this into another review...Iwill cross that bridge soon!
Many know that I am plugging my way through the D-9 Armored Bulldozer....ongoing!
Yet another project which should be done as early as this weekend is a ...umm, "small" feature review for another site. I am working my way through obligations attempting to shift interests a bit back to the MSC homestead...
No, not done yet! A little more and some touch ups but it is rather interesting. Good news from this is that one part of the review feature is the review of the snow products used on this Dio. The owner has contacted MSC and asked if I would make a review for our site...coming right on the heels of this one!!!
Now there is still the BMP-3, which I did not forget about and there are a few other queens crying to me but once the que is cleared shortly, I will turn my focus to the site and the Rail-head Duel between the Boss and I.
I hope this helps explain a bit of what is going on and I am trying to muster on to get the outside factors complete as well as assist with the extraordinary efforts of the staff here in bringing improvements to the site!
I am sorry for trailing on some here but I do want to thank you for hangin' out for a bit while I clear the mind a little...and all of you, please keep up the amazing work that is happening all over the pages of MSC!!
