Hi friends, as you probably know I've started the finishing of my WWII Comet A34 main battle tank. I will start airbrushing the green soon, and this is my question : what Tamiya acrylic colors do you recommend ? No problem if I will have to mix different colors...are you the guy who can help this Guy ?!
Best regards ! Guy.

Hi Guy,
This is a formula that I found on the net. I haven't tried it yet, so You might want to spray a test piece first.
British SCC no 15 paint mix
Tamiya paints
5 parts XF61 2 parts XF62 2 Parts XF3
Hope this helps.

Hi
For anyone else finding this, SCC no 15 was the British Version of Olive Drab, used to prevent the need to repaint any lend lease vehicles coming in from America. so allowing for the fact that no two tins of paint where a match to each other or that no two painters used the exact same mix which resulted in minor colour shifts from tank to tank its probably quite acceptable to use any of the know good olive drab mixes. I like to use the Olive Drab mixes from these makers to add variations between models.
Tamiya Olive Drab is a touch dark and can be lightened or used as a shadow OD Humbrol 155 is very good if just a touch light Vallejo Model Air Olive Drab is a good match but their Model Color version is not. Vallejo Primer Olive Drab is the best I have found. Model Master OD is also very good.
There are others but the ones listed are the ones I use.
