Just thought I'd post a few pics of a PS3 Vault that I weathered last year. I sold it just after finishing it, so these are the only images I have.
Here it is out of the box:
And a couple of pics after quite a bit of work.
I took to it with the Dremel for dents and gouges, and painted it in a metallic charcoal rattle can. In a fit of experimentation I used toothpaste as a masking agent for the paint scratches. It worked alright, but I am not sure if I would use it on anything small scale. I also used paper masks for the lettering.
The stand was glued onto an MDF board, and the ground works came out of my ever growing stock of materials.
