Leon here is an image I found on Google of Russian Green which is a colour chip from Vallejo. Just copy it and paste it into the section which says "Colour Search" on this site, use your cursor to pick the shade you are after from the colour chip and then click on the box which says "Show Matching Colours" and it will give you your best option in a list below from different paint suppliers. Model Paint Data Base
You can also use the Colour Chart section and tick which Brand-Type-Sheen you want and it will show you a paint selection. Hope this helps.

Hi Leon,
Russian Green is even more difficult than OD! Over the time there have been many different shades, often existing side by side.
Russian armor stationed in the former GDR for example was mostly painted in a very light green, whereas in other regions vehicles in black green could be found. Also brownish greens similar to OD were common.
So your question is not easy to answer. I suggest making a picture search on Google and then taking what suits you. Both OD's, Black- and even Tamiya NATO-Green can work for you purpose.
Cheers, Tobi

Brother Leon what are you buildin ?As you know weathering will change the shade and tone . That AS14 on Sabre's chart looks close to me . But charts can be off a few shades . Here's what I started out with on a Zil 157 truck . Its Model Master enamel Russian armor green . After weathering it looked completely diff .

Hey!!! Leon I did a check using that site with a colour chip form Mr. Colour and it came up with Gray Green from Tamiya as being the closest match but it does look a little darker to me and I would add some yellow or maybe white to it, just to tone it down a touch. But looking at Carl's example here of the before & after shots of applied weathering you might not need to do anything at all mate.

Not a problem mate and sorry I forgot you wanted it in a spray can... so adding a drop of yellow or white is not going to work unless you have a airbrush. I was actually looking at paints this morning, the mountain of it which I have in my shed and on the net, one of those things I have to get before I can start. I came across a brand of paint called Xtracrylix sold by Hannants which has a very accurate colour range for RAF (BS), Luftwaffe (RLM), US (FS) colours, WW2 Russian, Italian colours I hear and by all reports is nice to work with as well but at a low pressure. Here's sneak peak at some of their colours...

Leon
Since the vehicle is Chinese and most probably post was there are some good choices in those listed. Before 1945 Soviet vehicles were not uniform in their colors at all. Any green they could find would do, some time back as discussion was held on the web and someone concluded that Soviet vehicles were "green and dirty" which is a rule that has worked for me ever since.
I remember the first color pictures of Soviet Block vehicles I ever saw were during the "Korean Police Action" and at the time they seemed to have a brownish tent to them along the line of the Soviet uniform color during the Great Patriotic War..

Get yourself a can of Krylon "Italian Olive" spray paint. It is a close match and you get a lot of paint for cheap.
