From the looks of him I am guessing you don't need to cut the grass!!

Greg, this one won't even let me close to him .I open the back door and he's gone runnin for his hole. Gary, when he's down on all fours he looks like a bear cub .As far as the back yard bouncer, the neighbors can won't even get near him to check him out.

WTF is that? Is it a dwarf in a fur coat? Dicky,it's what we colonials call a ground hog.

Altho you might not think so, barbecued woodchuck is very good eating. I speak from experience as I ate quite a few of them in the old days when I lived back east; this was a nice fringe benefit of being a dedicated varmint hunter.

I have see thousands of those things. Living on a farm, we exterminate them when ever possible. I've shot them with a .22 and they run for the hole. though little critters they are.
I remember once when I was just a young en, We lived on a 380 acre farm. My side kick (German Sheppard) and I where out deep in the woods. I heard him fighting with something and went over to the creek to see that he was in a stare down with a ground hog. The GH was at the bottom of the creek bank looking up at the dog. neither one would move. The dog was waiting for the GH to loose attention. I snuck across the creek and went around behind the GH. I then picked up some rocks and threw them into the water behind the GH, when he turned to look behind him, The dog went for his throat.
That was a great lesson in tactics as I outflanked the Ground hog and distracted him from the rear forcing him to fight on two fronts.
Sorry for the rambling, but I always liked to tell that story, LOL

Finally now we know how Bigjohn became attracted to Shermans! They liked to sneak behind Panthers and Tigers and shoot at its rear...
