Good evening, Had an enjoyable day at the Gravesham show on Saturday and met up with a few MSC'rs, Captain Nemo amongst them! He had a few items up for sale and suggested that this had my name written all over it. Now a word of warning to all - If you hear those words you know you just can't resist. So dipping my toe even further into heavy metal, and having this week off - So that's Churchill in pin wash stage, Valentine almost ready for primer (after remedial works) and modern in construction. Should keep me going through the dark evenings! Tim

Normally I am not fan of modern armors but things have changed since the day I joined MSC... count me in! Somebody mentioned Danish version?

Yet?
With the amount of etch that came with this you could possibly make a skeletal Leo and pose it alongside a low detail plastic rendition - suit of armour Sir? Ooooooooooh! suits you Sir.
Have looked at all the etch and am still trying to work out what to use, if any at all. The Valentine has made me more confident, but that was what was provided in the box and you feel obliged to use it all. In my case 2 bits were omitted, handles on the main turret lids- they are closed so why use them?
More as soon as I can.
Tim

Good evening, Etch you wanted, etch you get. Enough to test anyone's patience but looking good I think - Not prefect, but will look good at the end I think. But the time taken for this bit means I am in for the long haul. Ten parts in all and a headache to go with it! Tim

Indeed, for a guy with an inbuilt aversity to all things brass and bendy this is superb work Tim, very clean etchwork fella 10/10 Thanks Mr Df, another fine mess you got me into. Not really enjoying this, but will not be beaten is how I feel. As ever all comments welcome and a big thank you for the words of encouragement to date. Tim

Dicky, I put it down to the better half. "For the time you have been in the cave (?) is that all you've done!" Truth is I am enjoying, but by Chr--'- it does take up a lot of time and that's just the building of it. Cutting out vast areas of plastic and the remedial works required to fit it etc............ well I don't know. Still it helps to pass the time Tim

Not ENJOYIN' it? It's a Leopard 2...how can yer not be ENJOYIN' it? Yer makin' great progress, so that's gotta be enjoyable? I'm certainly ENJOYIN' this build so that's 50% of us already! Better make it 66% because I am really enjoying it too. Because I am really enjoying my first modern armor build, it make me enjoy other modern armors now... At least we both are in agreement that we blame this bloke Dicky...

Good evening, November 2013! Feels like a lifetime ago and not much done on the "cat". So very small update. Finally got round to sorting the fan housing \ vent thingys on the rear deck. By heck that etch stuff is sooooooooooo time consuming. Full of little errors but using it as a learning curve for the time being. Hope it will look ok under a coat of primer......... That is when I get that far So here we are, all comments welcome. More as and when progress is made. Tim
