Hi there fellow modellerzz I am in the market for a tiger 1 late and I was wondering what is the best OOB kit out there? I know tam has some good kit but the vinyl tracks always sucks imo. Any insight on other kits? I never built one and it is my favorite armor...Can ya believe that!? Thanks. Phil.

Check out the one Bill Plunk is building,Dragon #6253,you do have to add AM zimm though.
Also Dragon # 6383 has the zimm molded on,it comes with DS tracks, although one piece they are superior to vinyl tracks, they paint, glue, and weather nicely

I heard AFV Club Tigers ain't bad (I have build one 1/48 one and I liked it) but the 1/35 Tigers to go are definitely the Dragon ones! ^^

Don't take yourself too seriously. It's just plastic.

Yhanks a bunch Totalize!! Wouter, thanks my friend, I must admit that the metal barrel in the afv is RRRREALLY tempting since I`m looking for an oob, and I am not sure with the ds tracks for a tiger....Looks awesome on a shermie but I prefer indie links for tanks with sag. Still Dragon kits are always a sure bet.....almost hehe. Phil.

yeah, just wanted to say that, the AFV's got the vinyl tracks indeed Although I like Friuls very much, I even like MasterClub tracks even more. These are resin and are superb. Though they are a bit hard to get hold of. Well, I went on with my 1/48 AFV Club Tiger I, and the kit is indeed awesome but one thing sucks big time: the decals...so brittle, they completely disintergrated Anywhoo, I think AM tracks are worth spending in this case and no doubt you'll have an even cooler Tiggy ^^ Cheers

Bills using MK workable tracks on his Dragon Tiger 1 . They might work on the AFV kit but you should check first . And AFV makes their own workable tracks for the late Tiger 1 but I wasn't impressed with the look of them in the review I looked at .

I`ll check out the Master Club specs and try to find some! Thanks for the info Carl! I must admit I like the weight of the fruils and find them very easy to work with Any intel on where to find some good zimmerit upgrade for the afv kit?
