Prof, CV - thanks for your feedback. Hope I can get my wooden customized base tomorrow. A resident carpenter made it for cheap money. I guess "...thats the beginning of a beautiful friendship!" Its loads of fun to guess what the parts of the Falke originally were. In some cases, its difficult, in some cases not. For sure, you have recognized the 1/32 P-38 Lightning parts and the Flak(?) magazines top of the seat. This part here looks like it was a plane motor half once. Looks a bit WW1-ish... But once again, I had to recreate and improve a bit. First I wanted to abuse some AirScale WW1 decals for the empty spaces, but even the smallest ones turned out too big. A6M3 Zero decals instead? Yes, please!

Meanwhile on the bench... Battle at all fronts. The seat got some belts (thanks again Adam for the "how to"). The hood got a cast structure from styrodure glue: The carpenter got my custom made base ready: ...and finally some plants (1/72 palm leaves - here: fern - from Pegasus Hobbies)

Thanks all. Big update - just painted the base and the biggest part of the Falkes body assembly is done. YAY!!!
Finally the cockpit is complete so far. Except this little detail:
First, there was a self caused fitting problem, and I had to remove the 1/48 Rafale intake. Afterwards the whole part didnt fit into the cockpit. DARN! Never mind - what have I learnt while I was studying vehicle manufacturing? "If it doesnt fit...MAKE it fit!".
Away with that...
And finally the "lobster" is coming together:
Thanks for dropping by.

Thats pretty simple Luigi. Youll need... >Styrofoam >a brush >a pen >a ruler >five cups of coffee >and... patience Draw the PSP lines on the styrofoam with soft pressure - just enough that you can see the structure. Of course youll need a ruler for that Done? Okay. Ten the fun part begins. Drink a cup of coffee, prepare the other four ones and start to "drill" with the rear end of a brush. Again SOFTNESS is the key. The more pressure you use,the bigger the holes. Good luck! PS: Of course this is no "100%-method" - pefectionists would create it from plastic sheet and a punch and die set or something. More expensive, though... I like the "custom made" look a bit more

Is the Falke 1/20? Wasn't it 1/35?

The Falke is 1/20, Luigi. 1/35 would be too easy for some people *cough cough* Please be patient and stay tuned - I have to pause until friday probably. Thanks for all the nice and motivating comments.

Small update today - full swing will follow Ive chosen the "National Defense" medal because of its triple advantage: -it shows a bird (falcon or an eagle?) -looks shiny -the "Falke" is perfect for national defense, is it?!

Wasnt too confident with the female soldiers painting. Thanks to the new Fujimi pit stop set, theres other possibilties. So Im creating a new mechanic. Not so esy! My PE saw stuck in his hand and BANG! it gave up... Well, thats modelers fate.

Good news: the Falke is completely taped and masked with Tamiya tape & Patafix. Took me 5 hours to complete it. In a few hours, it will get its 2nd color (Tamiya XF-18 Medium Blue).
