It's time to start a new project. The kit I'm using is dml 6761 Opel Maultier. At first I have to say that kit instructions are just awful. At first stage, instructions tell you to use wrong chassis part. The right one is in sprue H. Also there's lots of other mistakes at part numbers and parts are just drawn but ther's no number for them. Remember carefull dry fitting if you are going to build this kit. Am parts: Wrong and right chassis. Ther's few differences between them. At first I glued suspension part in wrong chassis but fortunately got everything of without breaking anything. Wheels look awesome. Door with voyager handles. Basecoat with red primer and after that few coats of ak chipping fluid.. And the magic happens!

Will be following this one with interest! The issues you mention in the instructions are nothing unusual, it's a Dragon kit!

I know they usually have some mistakes, but looks like they messed up every part number with this kit. If you have right and left handed parts, use them the other way round and then it's correct

It was a snowy (and still is..) day so I had a great bench time! Interior after filters and pinwash. I'm not focusing too much for it. You can't see much through windows.. More etch work with hood locking latches. I think voyagers goal is help modellers lose their minds Finished ones.

I'm with smudge...those latches look insane!
Maybe if the rest of my modeling skills were top-notch I would take the time to go that route.

Nice work on the interior and latches. I think you're right about Voyager's approach to things like that, they ALWAYS choose the most complicated possibility for their detail assembly I think.

Thanks guys! Yep, I really like voyager, but they have a lots of unnecessary stuff in their sets. Who would want replace an entire tank hull with pe when the plastic one has better details? And if it´s not, replacing bolt heads and rivets with resin ones is million times easier and result is a far better. Not to mention their etched tracks...

Thanks! I really appreciate your comments. Some more detailing. Lots of small parts and lots of bad words when the part is glued in your finger but it's all worth it. Ps. I've been asked for writing an article into a finnish modelling magazine. If i do it, I can't show pics of this project at finnish modelling sites before magazine is released so you guys have kinda private access to these pics now! Writing or not, I will keep this blog update.

Hi guys! Finally got some bench time so I spent the time with tool holders. That resin pick came in voyager set. Definitely looks better than the kit part. Offtopic: Now there is really good modelling weather. Temperature was -26c (is it like -14,8°F?) in this morning when I woke up at 5am.
