Well after only having 16 decals to put on the Salamander, I thought I would approach something with a few more. Also my first 1/72 scale model.

I really wanted to do an RAAF version but the paint scheme and decals are soooo boring.

I just couldn't go past the blue tail planes.

T, cheers mate, I hate decals and always seem to have problems with them, so I reckon this will either break the cycle or confirm my reason to hate them, though these have gone on ok so far.

the decals is made from Cartograf, you got a good kit with good decals... just dip it in warm water, and let it slide to the kit, use absorbent tissue if can or cotton would do.

I also got the 18C in stock.

jackwagon, Spauldingitus sounds really bad ;D, yep the blue ass-endy bits caught my eye.

Nimbus, ahhh so I can run but I can't hide, nah mate black and red would remind me of spiders but I'm keeping them under control .

Had a bit of a fit issue around the cockpit, my fault not the kits I think.



So I spent the week filling and sanding. This weekend I got some AB time in and added some colour.

Robbo, they were decals that were supplied.

Slowly adding all the decals, I think I'm going to run wimpering back to making AFV's after this . It even has decals on the landing gear .

Well I have emerged from the man cave, with a slight hunch, a nasty tic when decals are mentioned or thought of and smelling slightly of Sol but I think it has been worth it.





















Canopies are only dry fitted atm, some touch up to do and weathering and I will be finished.

Well calling this one done.

Did some slight fading on the top and then applied a Flory wash.























And finally a comparison shot with the 1/48 Salamander I recently completed.



I was going to start on a Marder but I notice Wouter's GB has started, so I better make a start on my entry for it.
