Sometimes all you need is a little 'distance' from what you're working on at the time. We are often our own worst critics. Looking good!

Looking good Craig! I've tried the Ammo for Dark Yellow wash and it's a light brownish color...when used on camo it kind of just disappears or looks like dirt/dust streaking to me, just something to keep in mind. I'd probably go with the True Earth Light going by what it looks like in the bottle. Either way, it's coming along nicely!

It's official I hate pin washing zim I used ammo brown for dark yellow and let it dry and went back with a make up sponge and took off the extra some spots I took to much off but that is ok I still have oil paints and dirt to add also stared the upper hull and weld seam and the drivers hatches

Hat's off to you for pinwashing zim! Should be getting close to the finish line with this one.

Thanks I thinks this will be the last zim one of a bit it looks cool but going to be a pain to weather I have a tiger that calls for if avf club one I might try the pe zim this was the tamiya sticker zim kind of lost some detail when the layers went on

You're not alone, I've heard of other builders having similar issues with the Tamiya zim. It may be 'scale accurate' but it doesn't have the same visual depth/definition IMHO even pre-painted.

Thanks for the comments everyone I think the more I use the oil paints to weather I like them better than the ak and ammo stuff I have been playing around making my own washes and filters For some reason I can never get the ak or ammo stuff to do what I want it to do

Coming together nicely Craig. Zim patterns are always deceptive when it comes to weathering, all that added surface area and the pattern itself means it can collect stuff that ordinarily would just be a flat plate or surface.
