I know what the answers are going to be (and from whom ) but could anyone suggest a name or RAL number for the orangey shade on this? The beige will be either Lehm(LOAM) or Sand Beige and the gray probably Tarngrau... Any useful contribution will be welcomed... P

The colour is close to the one the Australian army use Paul. The number for that is FS30219.

PaulH here is a handy site that might help you match that colour, just use the colour search option > upload or copy & paste the image url. > hold the cursor over the area you want to match left Click > Click on Show Matching Paints. Model Paint Data Base
I should add that light plays a big part in what we perceive the colour to be, take this image for example - taken under low light conditions. The colour looks totally different from the image you posted.

Pete -that conversion is fast becoming like hens teeth. Y-Modelle are showing it out of stock, but these guys are still showing a couple in stock. Sabre -thanks a lot for the link that looks extremely useful all round. I get what you mean about lighting conditions- your pic proves the point clearly. I found some Vallejo Orange Brown that looks like it will be a good starting place for it either way. P

Paul, I would try my luck with AK-727 "RAL 8031 Sandbraun" from the Bundeswehr Umtarnfarben palette for AFG, lightened if necessary! Cheers, Tobi
