Here we go again Well I built a Super Sherman about 14 years ago I got the colour almost right ,but never built anything again IDF At the Lincoln show 2 years ago I picked up the AFV centurion for £20.00 with a shot Kal convertion I was up for another bash. On return to the modelroom I found no Barrel or side skirts in the box.bugger and a few other words and kit was dropped kicked into the stash. This year a friend gave me some IDF books a 105mm barrel and some lifcolor IDF paints.............well who could resist. Round 2 I found loads of pics with cents with no skirts. Its been a slog but a rewarding one I still have a way to go. . DSC09099 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. . DSC09103 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. I had to find square mesh for the basket that still need s work and the spotlight holder had to be scratch built. . DSC09100 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. Well about to go down stairs and do some more work on this oh and its heading for a diorama too. Mac

Nice Shot Mack. I think the conversion is AEF judging by the colour of the resin? gota love IDF stuff. Good to see you wandering down the israeli route.. Some good work but I know you prefer the painting side of it so keen to see you get some painting done. Keep us posted matey

Mac I'm going to use the Liquitex sand I picked up a while ago. I haven't had an opportunity to use it until last weekend, when I tried it on the inside of the rear ramp on my M113 build. I have no idea if there really is anti-slip there (probably not) but the knock out pin marks were so deep and in such awkward locations, I thought maybe I could hide the faults in my putty job. It's dry, feels "sandy", but I didn't nix any color at all with it and it dries clear. I'll try another test shot with color here shortly. I like it because it goes on with a brush. Details later....
