The months seem to have flown by since joining up last April. By my last count, looks liked I've finished up four builds. Seems like it should have been more. Problem is there are quite a few shelf queens that I started but then got distracted so they are still in the works. No resolutions here, but I'm going to try to force myself to finish them up before starting anything new (except the armor group build starting up in January )
Here's a recap for 2013:
Academy 1/72 Hawker Typhoon:
Airfix 1/24 DeHavilland Mosquito FB Mk VI:
Special Hobby 1/72 Westland Whirlwind:
Italeri 1/72 Gotha GO244:
That's it for 2013. I was hoping a couple more would get completed but lacked the right paint, after market stuff, or just plain wasn't feeling the mojo at the time. Looking forward that 2014 will end up at least doubling this past year's count.

Nice Rick! You went through your share of Dark Green and Ocean Gray this year! Really love that Mossie - I've been tempted a few times but I know it's only a matter of time until someone drops a state-of-the-art 1/32 on us...

Nice selection of stuff there, Rick. That Westland sure has me doing double takes. It's like the designers took components from a bunch of different aircraft and cobbled them together into one.

Thank you gents for the very kind comments. Todd, my count is my own very flexible and ever changing goal based on the shelf queens I've recently started over the past 3 or more years. Historically I am not a fast builder, recently I somehow managed to get quite a few under construction, just not under paint. Doogs, you are quite right regarding the gray and green that's been spewing from my AB last year. This year should be a bit more diverse as a P39, P40, OV-10, and F6F are well under way along with several German and RAF types. At any rate, I've expanded skills through blogs and the great willingness of many on this site to share thoughts and experiences. Looking forward to 2014 what it brings. Thanks to all. Rick

Not a fast builder? Look at me and many members here... we are here to enjoy our hobby despite our busy schedules.
Can't wait to see that P39 and P40!

A very productive 2013 Rick, that Mossie alone should count for 2-3 'normal' scale builds given its complexity and detail. Looking forward to seeing what 2014 brings!
