Time to drag the giant penny out of storage so you "think" i am working on something small I don't usually work on 2 things at once but hey, it's a new year let's see how it goes. I've started getting the PE cockpit in place for the 109. This stuff is, "Are you FREAKIN" kidding me?" small. And hard to take pics of.[ ] The quality is amazing though. The buckles on the belts a very defined for example. I cut the flaps to have them droop and will do the same to the small sections behind the oil coolers. After painting IP black I sanded the paint off the raised dials in the hopes it will look like reflection off the glass when installed. The floor has all the correct details with a control stick and rudder pedals. OOPS! Forgot about the giant finger.

Andy, don't you recognize that finger? I was the hand model for those "We're number 1" fingers at football games Yeah I know, it's like feast or famine with me. 2weeks without an update or 2 in 1 day. The spinner is too bulbous so I mounted it on some brass tube and chucked in the Dremel to file it down. I used a JLC saw to scribe the new panel line. Flaps cut of and redeposited to sag. A view of the cockpit. The fuel line is .006" wire.

Marc,I can appreciate the fact that this Forum has a rep for 'insanity',to a certain extent, but detailing a 1/144 109,has to be right up there with the best we've seen here!!!! ....Great work, all the same!!

Thanks guys.
Leon this is extreme braille scale.
CeeBee... wait until I get the PE canopy frame with the individual "glass" panels. Hmmm I just a little dizzy thinking about that

Marc, that is simply insame. I can't even hardly see my 1/72 109, much less this tiny jewel! I noticed that the most recent four kits on this site are all 109's. I've procrastinated on my G6 trying to figure out the dappled camo. Looks like I'd better get moving on it so I can keep up!

No better plane to have 4 in a row. Thanks for the compliment. Your Hartman 109 looks great, you'll do a great job on the mottle.

Thanks guys. So Dicky, you think I am deeply disturbed? Why would that be? It wouldn't have anything to do with put brakes lines on a part so small if i took a deep breath it would disappear would it? Help meThe previously mentioned break lines, completed airframe some nice detail on tiny little PE LG covers.

I don't envy you masking the canopy! I gave up on my Sweet Mustang build and switched to the Malcolm hood No such option for you though buddy, good luck!

I think we all released long ago Marc that you had descended into sub-braille madness with the 1/144 projects. This just confirms it! Nice job on those tiny, tiny parts!

Yeah Steve, the canopy is givving me fits just now and it's not even to the paint stage yet. I'm try to make a vac copy and I am down to my last one A tiny bit of paint under the engine. It really is such a waste... the amount oyu need to mix to be able to "work" with it compared to now much actually gets sprayed. Bill... what small parts? The wheel chocks? Nah! And They're coming to take me away Ha Ha They're coming to take me away ho ho he he ha ha to the funny farm where life is beautiful all the time, and I'll be happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats and they're coming to take me away ha ha

Marc, I still can't see that tiny wingy thing you claim to be working on! The pictures you took through the telescope only show a big ol' airplane. And an awesome big ol' airplane it is!

Whoa... Most modelers 40+ go 1/32 cause they cant seeas good as a 12yo. Are the PE parts from Hauler or Eduard btw?

Lucas at 58 I have no idea how much longer I will be able to do this small stuff so I figure I may as well have some fun while I can The PE stuff is from Brengun.

There's that giant finger again! I hear you about mixing vs actual usage when it comes to painting. Them's the breaks when dealing with small subjects!

Paint is awesome Marc. Very smooth finish. What paint are you using and how much are you thinning it? Camera can't focus 'cause like me, it can't see things that small! She is gonna be a real (little) beauty.

I can't figure out what's wrong with my camera... refuses to focus properly. Maybe this one's so small that you've exceeded the minimum focus distance on your camera's macro lens capability! Either that or it's catching glints off of Dicky's eyebrows...he can be very fetching when he wants to be you know.
