Thank you all so much fellas.......the fantastic comments mean a great deal and they are certainly helping me over the finish line on this one Steve.....this is just a stolen base from my Carlos Checa bike, might stick with it or may change yet bud Paul........normally out on a wednesday shoppin` so thats the best time.........you`ll just have to run the gauntlet with my aging mutt Dicky......think ya forgot one Just a minor update and probably the last till the finish line now... I`ve added the front upper brake reservoir pipe and cut back the green on the lenses...i thought it looked just a little too heavy so i used a small amount of ISO on a cotton bud/Q-tip to remove some of it, it`s getting a bit delicate now so i have to be careful The brake line was made using some 1mm clear shrink tube heated to the required size diameter, one end was left un heated which allowed me to run some clear yellow down it using an eye dropper.......this was followed by a shot of ISO to thin it down and give that yellowy fluid look (as best as poss anyway!!)............i then cut to size when dried and very gingerly attached it to the lug on the reservoir and the lower connection on the grip..........that was a butt clenching moment i tell ya.......didn`t wanna snap the bars and stuff!!!!! Just got a No plate to make up and a couple of tidy up areas to do and then i can get her based up ..........oh and sort the side stand Thanx chapsies

((LOL)).........no mate, no glasses case for this puppy I need to use a longer and stronger one for this..........i`m gonna use some 1.5-2mm brass rod to scratch the leg of the stand and then drill an angled hole for the stand to be fitted into on the base and then scratch a sidestand foot to hide the hole and make it look like it`s just standing naturally..........but at the same time it`ll be secured to the base itself.... clever huh!! Thanks for the kind words as well matey .......there are still lessons to be learned for the next time due to a couple of slight imperfections but this was always trial and error from the start!!, at least it`s one scratched of my to do list

Dicky.......fanx muckwa , appreciate ya as one of me wingmen during these type of builds.....ya wittiness and banter make it sooo much ferkin` more enjoyable...plus....ya valuable input of course As for the braided line.....it`s neither mate, it`s Boots brand , it`s this stuff.. It comes in all ferkin` colours (metallic), you can tie it in knots coz it`s supple like string and more importantly......ya get 8m`s for £2.20 It is semi-rigid if using short lengths but it does sag naturally over longer runs, i just cut a length and insert a small bit of shrink wrap over each end and then i insert a 1mm (or smaller) piece of rod in the other end of the shrink tube and heat the pair........the tube shrinks too the slightly thicker braid but gives a smaller dia hole for attaching to a kit piece.......hope this makes sense , this is the 1.6mm sized braid which is suitable for large pipelines on bikes and medium on cars...........i know they do a 1mm as well but i ain`t found non yet!! HTH fella Brother Gary......thank you kindly my man, you fellas kepta pushin` Leon.......it was a pleasure to have ya mucka and appreciate it all the way dude Bill......yeah i`ve certainly gone thru some boxes of painkillers on this one bud , thanks for the kind words my friend Stuart......((LOL)) ta buddy, glad you like her and great to have had ya along Lui......crickey ya don`t like too see me sitting idle for long do ya , got the Kawasaki Ninja part started but that has got the full detail up kit with it plus AM forks and shock.......might run somink alongside that one coz it is quite an intensive build and is gonna take a while........i figured...do somink else rather than get bored!!!........cheers for tagging along mucka Prof.......thank you too fella......i still blame you tho , she was a handful to start but i soon kicked it`s butt, once the paint went down `MY WAY`.......it seemed to behave itself after that Thanks again guys...

Oooh........a 1960`s sports car, now let me think ........ouch!!!, that hurt Yeah it`s not bad stuff mate.........you can pull the centre core out and insert a suitable piece of rod if ya want somink more rigid, the only downside is it`s a bit fragile...........if you use it as is once its cut and you add the shrink tube it stops the end from fraying ........i also add a spot of glue as well just to stop the S/T from sliding orfe. If ya do have any probs getting it then let me know and i`ll pick ya a reel up mucka
