Or "Denglish" like we here use to say (Deutsch/Englisch).

So I find a local hobby shop in town that deals mostly in radio control stuff. But they do carry a very small selection of armor kits, Tamiya and Model Master paints, and Evergreen styrene shapes. I went to town today and thought I’d stop in for some Evergreen strips I needed and walked out with this lot. I have never used a cutting mat before. I have used a piece of smooth cabinet grade plywood for the last 25 or so years. The bench does look a little cleaner with the mat in place.

Great score John. I didn't use a mat for a long time either. Now that I have one I'll never go back to wood. Like Dicky said they do wear out after a while but are well worth the money I think.

Latest box has hit from the folks at HLJ. The 4 Lexus make up the kits I needed to complete my Lexus "collection", I know have one of every body style ever kitted. Someday that's going to turn into a diorama/photo backdrop. I also got the Photo Etch & Carbon Fiber decals for the LaFerrari and have been ensconced in the 25 or so odd pages of instruction BOOK that make up the kit and Detail-Up parts. Even if you find the car itself unappealing, you can't help but love the engineering and design of the kit, and how fully integrated the detail sets are during assembly.

There's a definite trend in your latest pick-ups there James but I can't quite put my finger on it... Nice haul! Ya know it wasn't until I set everything out and took a picture of it, I realized how Toyota intensive it was... I have one more Crown Royal Saloon ('08 -- the one in the picture is a '10) and a Honda Odyssey waiting on the latest "super kit" by Aoshima -- the Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670–4 SuperVeloce which last time we got news from Aoshima was supposed to hit at the end of the month. In the most recent shipment I also got Fujimi's Lamborghini Veneno, but after purchasing it, Fujimi announced they're releasing a version with an actual engine (rather than the one piece engine insert) in February. So now I'm trying to sell off the curbside version so I can get the "complete" kit, so it's not in the picture.

A few more adds over the last several days as long-delayed shipments arrived! First up - grass mat for my Me 262. Second - a Hasegawa SLUFF. I'll be doing this one in the dark gray tactical scheme the Bluehawks wore during Desert Storm. And third - Tamiya's F-16CJ. Which I'll be doing as an F-16CM (redesignated CJs flying the SEAD Wild Weasel role) wearing the new dark gray paint scheme.
