Hi MSC'ers. You might remember this one from the group build (KGB) but I thought I'd post it here as well because the KGB may end before the model is finished Some pics of the build and painting for those who didn't see this over in the KGB. Putting on the base rust at the moment, turret is getting it's rust texture too.

I've started the rust on the turret mantlet...........and man is it great to rust again. I'm doing all types of rust techniques on this one to keep from getting rusty ( pun intended ). And also to keep with T on the rusting.....a now Chris. Will get pics up soon.

base rust coat is on the hull and turret. I am starting the painting and rusting with the turret using the technique here. modelerssocialclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tandt&action=display&thread=247&page=1Oils and pigments for texture. After applying the rust I applied Fixer from AK. This is to hold the pigs in place. I then applied the AK chipping fluid this time around. I used water to start the chipping of the barrel and mantlet, but the turret will not get water for the chipping.... I will use the dry method as with the technique at the link above. But..this will be done after I apply washes, filters and other weathering. You'll see later on. I'll try to get the weathering of the turret done tonight, but will wait a day or so before I start the chipping. I want the green paint and enamel weathering to harden.

cleared the bench to put the JT and this on it. Actually I have a shelf right next to me with all my stand by's. I have some things in primer waiting for paint and rust, and some in build stages.
Thanks for the comments fellas. Not really mush to see right now, just that bit of rust.

I just started the dimensional rust chipping effects on the turret. Working one side at a time. Going to touch up some areas before working my way around.

Not yet Mac. I've seem to have lost my mojo this week. Haven't been in the hobby room for days now.
