Hi all. ive had to stop with Boudicca for a while as she is all packed away ready for our move at the end of the month so in between packing, decorating, and working ive done another sculpt. This is of Simon De Montfort who was the 6th Earl of Leicester 1208 -1265, if you have never heard of him we have him to thank for our system of government today, a good or a bad thing whichever way you look at it, and became the de facto ruler of England, he abolished the absolute rule of the monarchy and included ordinary citizens in local parliaments. He would have had a red surcoat with a white Lion Ive done him with a choice of helmets, either with the cross nose guard or a full face plate. I still have the sword and scabbard to do but they may have to be done after the move, the cloak was an absolute firkin pain in the a$$ and I had to re do it 5 times . After seeing the photos ive seen a small problem, the buckle bar on the sword belts is on the wrong side so ill have to change them and ill also have to add some spurs, but apart from that im very pleased with it Paul

Looks like you're making the most of your available time in between packing Paul, nice start to Mr. Simon!

Very, very interesting, congrats! It reminds me a little of Richard Lionheart, a nice figurine from Crecy Models.

Hi Paul, you are lucky, every time we moved my missus made me pack models and modelling kit first so I did not keep sneaking away from doing her bidding. Simon de Monfort looks great is he a 90mm or larger?. hope the move goes/has gone OK and you end up with a bigger modelling room. Chhers Dennis
