Hello Here is my next project!! The ATF Dingo from Revell. I become this kit from my wife and my kids at christmas!! Thank you, i love my family!! The kit is where ever in the ugly green from revell. Because of this you can not see the details so good at the pic´s. The kit is good, more fine and high details. The frame exist more parts. Here you must build more exactly for a straight result. (I hope thats korrect translate??) Into the its kit a engine but the optic it´s so good ........, why is here an engine?? But after all it´s a engine inside!! The tyres looks good but i miss the imprint of the manufacturer!! The interiuer it´s more fine and the details are very nice for a revell kit!! But here is more place for updates!! And here i come!! I search references and found some of panzer-modell.de/ !! My mission are wires, cables, wires and more cables and wires!! All radios are inside the kit and the when i look right is the interieur complete. The seats are good but i miss some details on this!! No strukture and at the decals i miss the imprint from recaro for the seats. The decals looks good. 17 parts for the interieur and outside you can build 4 versions 1: Bundeswehr Mission Trainig, tricolor Nato camo 2: Bundeswehr Afghanistan 2010, Afghanistan nato camo 3: Bundeswehr Afghanistan 2012, Afghanistan nato camo 4: Czech Army 2010, sand matt The steering is not movable to build, but when i look i think i can change this default. I hope so!! The Springs looks not so good. I think about to build movable springs, maybe!! You see, this kit have all what a beginner needs. For better modellers have the kit much more room for updates and scratch build conversions.I paint my Dingo in Nato tricolor camo but with ISAF decals. I´m looking forward to this build and this kit!! It´s my first militäry kit from revell after a long time, see what come!!!!! See you tomorrow, Oli

Oli,
Nice looking kit, and some great internal reference pictures. KSK figures will go real nice with it as well.

Good evening!!?? Today i start the build!! The first steps was easy. It is not my first frame from an Unimog, i´ve build some many years before(in 1:24)!! But this time it´s the frame a little bit reduced. The plastic in this kit is more porous, brittle. This is not fine and the motivation for this modell is going away, far away!! But i hope of the finished result and build him again!! And here the first pic´s!! I don´t know what is it, but i think lokks better like before!!?? And here´s the front axxle. Unfortunately i can´t build the axxle movable. This is one of the biggest misstakes from revell!! And the F**k**g green!! That was it for today!! I´m looking forward to this build!! Maybe is that my last Kit from Revell!!?? See you, Oli

Moin moin I´ve Winter finally, 3 month at home!! More time to build!! The Frame is finished!! I´ve build them without problems and without updates!! But you must build the frame careful for an straight result. My biggest question is, for what it´s the engine?? Look the Engine!! This is not fine!! No one can see this misstake later and no one looks under the car!!?? I hope so!! I make not update with or for this Engine!! No one can see this and when you look the work it´s to much for this i think!!?? The axxles looks good and the details are o.k. i think!!?? After this i start with the interieur. Some parts was a litte bit like an easykit from Revell!! But i glued this all the same......... The seats have no structure. I think about to make with foil again. Belt are not inkluded too, build them scratch too!! All the cables i want make this weekend. When you see on the references, is failed one radio in the kit and the most cables are on the right side and not on the front. On the part are nothing on the sides, nothing!! I think i start this work tomorrow!!?? When you look this you know what i doo the next time!! Thats enough for today, see you tomorrow, Good night!!

Thanks jackwagon
You are right!! Before i start to update the inside i fit the body komplete because i know it from other kits from revell thats the matching accuracy it´s not the best!! Build an old kit from Leopard 2A5 and you know what i meen!!But i´m motivated a great modell with more fine details!!
Also, start again, my ambition is high and the Dingo it´s a nice vehicle and for this is the effort!!

Oliver, great work all round on built and paint job. Very convincing weathering.
How did you make the 'cracking' effect on the base?
Chris.

For the Base i mix Glue (for wood), water and dry clay soil!! The soil its more fine when its dry but for my mix i´ve sieved there. The big blocks was the remaining!! I don´t colored the base after drying. This is the original color of this soil!!
