An ever so slightly damaged early Sd.Kfz 11 I built this many moons ago so there are plenty of inaccuracies including the wooden protective shell casing material still being present (they were wooden weren't they ?) I never removed the rubber track pads or rubber tyres on the impact side either so forgive the glaring mistakes. It turns up on the bench from time to time whilst I experiment with new products and the plan is to slowly remedy all the build mistakes this year I took some new pics after it received a surprising stint on the bench this month Any comments on how to improve it most welcome Los

Definitely looks like it's seen better days (in a good way!) there Los, aside from what you already mentioned there isn't anything I'd suggest. It's a good wreck!

This is a great piece losboz, I like the wrecked, deformed look of it, you nailed the textures, the impacts, the color tones...I can watch such a model for hours !

Hahaaaa.... Thats truly a "Rostlaube". Dont care about the small inaccuracies - I wouldnt even have recognized them if you wouldnt have mentioned them. Grosses Kino (=great stuff).

I wouldn't be too concerned, maybe the fire didn't burn long and hot enough to harm the track pads? Fire can do curious things and show strange behaviour, ask a fireman!
Looks like there has happened a short and fierce explosion to my eye.
cheers, tobi

Fantastic! I think it's perfect, just needs a nice base with some suitable groundwork to top it off! Lovely!! Cheers, Sam

I`m ex-fireman Los and i gotta say that looks exactly how we used to leave most burnt out vehicles... , Tobi is right.....heat and flames travel upwards so there is a good chance the lower half would remain pretty much un-touched..................left many an old burn out sitting by the roadside with tyres etc in tact fella ..............fabulous work!!

This looks very good. Quite realistic and has the "cool" factor.
