Nice work on this old classic and one of my favourites (I'm qualified on the M113 both petrol and diesel versions). The original Tamiya M113 which was later released with some add on's and new figures as the M113 ACAV, both had full interior but for the petrol version though there are some differences it would still work in the A2 as base so why Tamiya have left it out beats me . The 2 external fuel tanks on the rear was introduced on the A2 and the internal fuel tank was deleted which gave more room for stowage so they should be mounted. The new steering was first introduced on the A3. I can see that they still haven't corrected the cargo hatch it's upside down the release handel/wire should be on top not at the base of the hatch as can be seen on this link Hatch.

Nice! I have the same kit looking to be build probably fairly soon. Knowing Tamiya it's just shake and bake! By the looks of your build, that is true. Keep it up, im curious about the colouring.
