Thanks chaps.
Likely to be a large gap between updates now as I simply don't know what to do with it paint wise.
It's nice and easy in civilian world, throw a bright colour at it and make it look shiny, as for Military, well, I haven't a clue so if anybody wants to advise or better still take the kit of my hands and finish it, let me know.

Sweet primerige Mence. Old school is the best school fella. Don't panic about the color. Just think beige and something will come to ya.

Right, update but no pic.
Started laying on the colour today. Going with a cunning plan of laying on very thin coats in an attempt to make the darker primer create 'tones'. It seems to be working...sort of.
On the down side, the rear door dropped off, hitting the floor and pretty much returning itself to all it's component parts. Mence Jnr is currently on the kitchen floor hopefully locating four missing parts on the promise of some Microsoft Points for his X Box if he's successful, fingers crossed.

That's far better than my 'assistant'...Brenda the Boxer is very good at sniffing out parts on the floor before me but then she also tries to chew/swallow them in short order!

Thanks guys.
I should have some more time over the weekend so I will try to get some colour on the remainder. Hopefully once that's done I will be inspired to continue.

Thanks Oliver, it's a super kit, you would enjoy it very much. Ok chaps, just in case you thought this had died a death in favour of something more shiny, here's a small update. Colour is going on, in this case, Lifecolor UA533 Desert Storm Sand. I have tried a method which involves building up very thin layers of paint to try and let not just the great detail but also the base colour to very slightly show through creating its own tonal variation. It's working but in certain areas, a couple more coats will be necessary. I don't paint Military that often so hopefully you will see what I'm getting at. Cheers!

Nice job with the paint Mence. The thin layer way is good. Just be careful, cause if you're anything like me the thin layers become thick layers pretty quick
