Have put the 432 on the shelf for a little while whilst I work up the enthusiasm to drill out several hundred 1/24 white metal track links, but I've not been idle.
I have been having a bit of plastic relaxation.
prior to this year I've never built a diorama or winter scene, never modelled a figure so...................
I wanted to test out the MR Hobby Metal Color's which I bought at Euro so had a paint of a bust that I also bought at Euro from those nice guys at MDC.
He's called Zephyr...........

So thats where he's at at the moment.
I then had a go at snow!
I built a Trumpy Aerosan RF-8 which I bought at Telford for the ridiculous sum of £7.50.
Not particularly accurate apparently but fun to build and I have ended up with this plenty of mistakes and I would do it differently next time but again a bit of fun.

So lately I have had a go at a diorama, not completed yet and will not include any figures.
It is the EMHAR 1/24 Bedford OLBD dropside lorry.
In 1939 - 1940 the British government was acutely aware that the british army lacked vehicles so a requisition scheme was set up and private commercial vehicles were appraised and then requisitioned by the government.
The owner would then be compensated and given a one way travel warrant so that he could make his way home after the vehicle had been delivered to a depot.
Once at the depot the vehicle were painted, marked and shipped directly to France to be used by the B.E.F. (most of them were abandoned in France).
So I am attempting to model a disabled/abandoned vehicle near Dunkirk May/June 1940.
Not yet completed still needs to have markings and be weathered plus I am still gathering equipment etc to be strewn around the vehicle.
