Hi guys , new house new build .....so I had been champing at the bit to have a crack at Ace models 2S1. Got it started last night and I was dillusioned of a quick build ja! lol not to be friends , this is a real test of my basic modelling skills .... flash , sink marks and poor fit to name a few .............. Lower hull parts are fitted and its ugly but Im gonna make it look better I hope ! My plan is to get the lower and upper hull parts joined then I can get about filling gaps . Every wheel has bad flash so thats a task in itself . I know Im having a bit on a winge here but I reckon the work will be worth it , its a cool subject

Hi T yeah its not going to be quick but there is a low part count which is a bonus .... managed to get the hull parts joined , needed to add card to the interior to help with the fit and filling of gaps ........ Maybe start the running gear later .

Deano as far as ACE kits go I think you got stuck with the ugly sister with this one. I know you'll make short work of it and produce a stunner mate.
Cheers, Thom

Sheet señor! You got a bad one, Ace really can be a lottery, early part of the run beautiful, end of the run...... Well you got it
Does this vehicle wear the same tracks ass any other soviet vehicle? If so would OKB have can replacement set?
Nice to have a challenge though eh lol

Looks like this kit is on the lines of 'blobs of plastic' that require you to carve/sculpt the parts out yourself! Hang tough Deano and keep your #11 sharp!

Hey guys , yeah it is pretty much the case of carving new bits out of the old , Im gonna have to look through all my other Ace kits now to see how bad they are lol Anyhoo I started the tracks and its going to be slow going ....... Im fixing them in place as I go to make life easier ............... Yeah the setting has changed from the Desert to muddy plains lol
